BUTTERFLIES!!

It's a cold and miserable day here today....wishing is was spring.
Thought I would play with some butterflies to cheer me up.
First card: Storybook butterfly cut 3 times, also scallop squares cut with SB. Pattern paper is Stampin Up. I Cuttlebugged the base of the card and the top layer of the butterfly.




Second Card:
I used Home Accents butterfly and used the Cuttlebug on both layers. Scalloped squares I used Storybook and ran the bottom scallop through my CB. I also ran the base of the card through the CB. I just love that little green machine!! :)

SSPT Challenge #2 ~ COMPLETE!!!

I did it! I never thought I would have enough time between work and family etc. etc...
I'm accomplishing 2 challenges with this card. The first of course is for the Sugar Sweet Paper Treats challenge, the second is for the Cricut Message Board challenge. I had to use a card function on any of my cartridges. I was really stumped on how I could combine the 2 challenges but I did come up with something....here it is :)

I used Beyond Birthdays Card function on page 105 of the booklet.
I used Walk in my Garden for the different leaves on page 109
I ran my smallest leaves through the cuttlebug~I just love that machine it adds so MUCH to my projects!! :)
Enjoy the pics, I had a hard time taking them... the paper is just so beautiful and shimmery but I don't think it came through in the photos. Thanks for looking!

Oh my gosh!!! I had to rub my eyes and wake up this morning before I knew what I was reading!! Work has truly been a bear this week as far as early mornings and long days...so I feel as though I have not been a 'good' blogger....
So you can just imagine how happy I was when I woke up and read my email!!!

CHALLENGE #2 ~ WOO HOO!

So the new SSPT challenge has been posted! Think ice cream! Yum!

I'M BAAAAACK!!!

HELLO!! I've been away for several days visiting family over the Easter holiday~but that didn't stop me from packing up an entire suitcase of my favourite goodies to play with on the go! :) These cards were made upon request~for my dear mom :) (aka my biggest fan). Here are the pics and what I used:

I also needed to come up with a sympathy card~ oh boy....this took some work...especially since I didn't bring all of my 'goodies'. I didn't have any black really...anyways I now know what I need to work on :) Here you go....

Easter Bags everywhere!!!

Easter Bags!

A friend at work asked if I would be willing to make up a few easter purses for her nieces. I was very happy to have the chance to play around with all my stuff :)
One problem!! What kind of paper was I going to use?? I have beautiful cardstock, but nothing was quite 'right'. I don't buy holiday themed cardstock either.... I like being able to use it all year round.....so being of the personality where 'no can do' is NOT an option: I made up my own darn pattern for these babies!

So tonight I broke out all my pretty things~yay!!! The butterfly stamps came out, the glitter embossing powder came out, ribbon came out, my ink came out, thank goodness that was the only stuff that came out!!! whew! As some of you know I don't have a craft room~ that's right folks! I use the kitchen table....hope no one wants to eat for awhile.....
I digress, here are the pics!!! Enjoy~ Let me know what'cha think, really! Don't be shy!


It's too bad the iridescent embossing powder didn't show up better :(

HERE IT IS!!! My first Challenge!!!!

I am so proud of this one! the little buckets are from the $ store.
Carts I used: Joys of the Season for the base for all the letters, Plantin School Book for the letters,celebrations for the tags
Studio G stamps for the cupcakes. The patterned paper is from DCWV glitter stack. Lots of ribbon, pearls and Martha stewart Glitter!!!! I had to remove the handles and make my own so the pearls could fit on.
