The creative assignment for this week??
"Find a beautiful lyric you relate to, that makes you smile, or that you listen to when you are sad; something you love and that creates a connection with you. Then, photograph that lyric."
I drove all around town today looking for that right 'something' to photograph. I found it. This sad lonely building just peeking out behind a hill in the countryside...perfect.
The original picture was colour - but I thought the black and white was more moody. Did a few other Photoshop 'tweaks' and voila!

Lean on Me - Bill Withers
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long

Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...

It is a great photo. When I see a building like that I always wonder about the people who used it. Looks like you are doing great in your photography class.
Love it dear. I have left an award for you at my blog dear.
Wow, beautiful!
The background is perfect, too, with a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees.
Wow !!! Looks like it could be a postcard! I love everything that has to with pictures, and you took a great one! It makes you just want to stop and take a silent moment to reflect.....
Love all your stuff. Great picture. One of my "bucket list" wishes is to go cross country taking pictures of old barns.
