Technical Difficulties

This has got to be the worst day ever!!! I'm so upset.

Last night I was working on my mac and thought I would click on photobooth.
My computer locked up on me!! I don't mean it just froze, it is a paperweight right now:(

I tried shutting it down, well that made it worse, it wouldn't boot up
So my last resort was to reinstall my operating system, and now that completely backfired on me! My computer can't detect my hard drive! What the heck happened??

Tomorrow I'm going to be taking it to the store and they'll probably ship it away.

I'm going to be without my computer for a couple weeks. I feel so bad!! I was working on Meredith's button last night and now I can't do anything!!! Arrrrgggghhh!!!!

Right now I can check my email and post with my iPod using my wireless Internet, this will have to do for now. Do you know how long it took me to type this post?!

Guess I won't be able to post anything for awhile..... Snifff snifff......

Look what I got in the mail today!!
Cheryll (aka The Memory Keeper, and leader of our DT team Sugar Sweet Paper Treats) asked me a little while ago if I had ever used skittles. We don't have them where I live in Canada (sigh, along with stickles) so I said~sadly no I do not have those lovely little gems here in Canada.

Well that Cheryll, she went and sent me some and lookie what she sent!! Just about every colour I could ever want or use! I mean, there are so many! I can't wait to use them....ideas are swirling around in my mind already!

Thank you Cheryll, that was just the nicest thing to come home to after work today :)

That's right my DH is turning 31 tomorrow!! I'm so glad I was able to get this finished. I just love it when everything comes together because I'm lovin' the paper!
Cricut carts used are: Celebrations, Storybook and Accent Essentials. Cuttlebug folders used: bubbles, swiss dots and Happy Birthday. I sure hope he likes it, cards for men are tricky! I just realized now that I used polka dots! Woo Hoo! My challenge for Sugar Sweet Paper Treats is complete!!

3D flower card!

I made this card for our SUGAR SWEET PAPER TREATS CHALLENGE. The challenge requirements had to do with April showers bring May flowers, and there needed to be something 3D. Well, how about a dimensional flower? I used Walk in My Garden to cut the petals, then cut them individually so I could place them better.
I also ran the petals through my cuttlebug and brushed ink all over the petals...I was deliberate in the way I inked the petals, I was going for a different kind of look.
I nailed a TON of brads for texture into the center of the flower. Then I covered the brads in white pigment ink and dusted it with holographic embossing powder. I also embossed the other part of the card with my CB, added a nice white layer inside so I can write a nice little message and voila! Happy spring card :)

I figured out GRAB BUTTONS! Do YOU want one??!! Come and Play!!

That's right!! Woo hoo!! yay me!! Yes, I'm excited! Not only did I figure out how to make a cute little image, but I figured out how to turn it into a grab button~which means people who REALLY like a certain blog can copy HTML code, add a gadget, paste the code and VOILA!! A beautiful button specially designed is now on their blog.

The whole reason behind this was that I snagged the button 'share some love, leave a comment' from SHABBY BLOGS and ever since then I kept wondering how I could do that.....I think that's why I'm so excited :)

So! On that note~ in celebration of my new found abilities albeit VERY NEW....I'm looking for any excuse to design in PSE6.

I would just LOVE it if you would leave suggestions for me on what kind of grab buttons you would like to see, or maybe a saying on a button, I can make these any shape, colour, you name it...the sky is the limit!

The best suggestion or idea that is sent in to me will be made, and I will personally help you install it on YOUR BLOG for everyone else to grab! That's right~in celebration that I was able to figure these puppies out I'm offering a free custom made grab button tailored to your blog and style !! Think of it as FREE ADVERTISING!!

I hope I'm not being obnoxious with all this posting but I have FINALLY got the hang of DESIGNING and posting blog backgrounds on my blog!!!! Yahoo!!! Barb....you're next girl!!

Now.....to make a custom header!!! LOL!

ALMOST GOT IT!!!

As you can see, I've ALMOST got it right...I need to push the sides out some more and make the sides a little fatter....I can't believe I figured it out. Not only did I learn a little about PSE6, I didn't give up (after 3 days!) searching on how to change the HTML code in blogger so I could put MY background on. So right now my brain feels like mush, but it was well worth it. I have the link saved on the tutorial I found on how to do it if anyone needs it :)

argggh!! I was SO close!

I was able to figure out how to design in PSE 6, I figured out the HTML coding so I could change my paper on my left and right sides. I liked how it looked, but the paper scrolled with my blog posts....I HATE IT!!! If someone, anyone, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE knows how to keep my background from moving (and just my posts scrolling) PLEASE help!!! Until then I am stuck with this!

Any help? Anybody???

ok, for my b-day I received the best gift ever...Photoshop Elements 6!
I'm so excited, what a learning curve....I spent all night trying to make a background, I managed to get it uploaded and it's too small!! so i had to delete it, but I will try and upload one tomorrow :) can't wait to show you what I designed!!!
